Inspiración: Zara home otoño-invierno 2014 / Inspiration: Zara home autumn-winter 2014

Good monday and nice starting of the week! I subscribed to Zara Home web and some days ago I received from their newsletter a video that you can watch by clicking in the link and I loved not only the products they show but the design and the music. It lasts just some minutes so it won't keep you far from your duties for long and I think you'll like it too. As I always say I haven't received any money or any compensation whatsoever by telling you this, I simply recommend it to you because I have also liked it. Hugs

Buen finde a todooos

Good friday! and today the last friday of the month of September....time flies!. Well here you have the weekly tutorials, I hope you like them and now that temperatures start dropping (well I hope it's so in your countries because here in Valencia the weather hasn't realised we're already in autumnnnnnn jajaja) staying at home is much more appealing and also making these tutorials. If you like you can have a look to the already published tutorials and choose the one (or ones) you prefer (I have already look to a little clutch and as soon as I make it I'll show you here). Have a nice weekend to all

Nueva categoría en el blog: Inspiración / A new category in the blog: Inspiration

Disfrutad

Good wednesday to all! Today I start a new category in the blog: Inspiration. The blogosphere is full of ideas to make giving them your personal touch, to copy, to be inspired, to beautify your home, your clothes, your things and you yourself. Many time we feel inspired by the most humble things, others things in which we hadn't even noticed inspire us to give them a new look to something we already had. Today we start with something as simple as a cup, which other uses could we give to a cup apart from having coffee or tea? have a look at this post and you'll see your cups with other eyes. Enjoy

Diez consejos para que tu casa y tú seáis más saludables/ Ten little things you can do around the house today to be healthier

Good morning and good wednesday everybody! today I have translated an article from the web apartmenttherapy, web from which I have translated some more before, and that I like very much because it's a web dedicated not only to home decor but they mix it with practical and useful articles well worth to be read. For those of you who have English as your mother tongue or for the ones preferring to read it in English the link is just below. I hope you like it, a hug to all

Good morning and good monday everybody! The day I started this blog I already said that I didn't want it to be a kind of journal about my life as it wasn't my intention but I think that becoming 50 is a well worth event to tell it and at the same time getting to know me a little better. This saturday I celebrated my 50th birthday with some friends, why have I celebrated my birthday (which was last 27th August) on 6th September? very easy: that happens when one was born in full summer time and having your friends on holidays that day jajaja but any day is always a good day to celebrate something. Here we are after dinner:

Sat and starting left to right you can see Marisa, Ana (my English student), me and Mariví. Standing up behind us (also from left to right): Mª Carmen, Cesca, Marisa and Mª José.

And I made the most of that moment asking my friends to take a photograph of me, like this one:

¡Gracias chicas!

Well and no more photographs, only tell you that we did enjoy the moment in which there were a nice dinner, cake and champagne and above all a very nice company to enjoy everything. Thanks girls!

Good morning and good friday! first weekend of the month of September. I guess in some countries it will be almost the beginning of a new season, Autumm, here in Valencia it's still full summer and it'll be during this month and the following one, at least. In any case enjoy the nice weather and if you've got the time to craft or sew here you have the first three tutorials of this month. I hope you like them and give them a try

Mis labores durante estas vacaciones de verano /My sewing during this summer holidays

Good wednesday! how are you? still on holidays or you've come back to work? I went back to mine last monday but I still feel myself as if being on holidays, that feeling of not being totally in the usual routine is sooooo nice jajaja. During this holidays, apart from doing other things, I've also had the time to sew (in my opinion there's always time for everything as long as one is an organised person and above all when one wants to organise oneself jajaja).

I've got some news (not mine) I have to tell you that my friend Mª José is expecting her second and third baby.....she's having twins! and they're due for next April so Irene (her three-year-old daughter) is going to have two brothers or sisters, still early to know it. Here you have the photograph of our visit to Feria Creativa last April, Mª José is on the left of the photograph:

I still didn't know Mª José's good news when I'd already decided to sew two wallhangings, one for her sewing room and another one for Irene's bedroom. Here you have both of them still unfinished but I hope you like them:

And being on a full baby boom I've got another pregnant friend but she already knows is expecting a baby girl (her name will be Caroline) as she's due for next January. So this baby quilt is for Caroline although I still have to stitch her name in chain stitch and quilt it. I hope that when finished her mum likes it and Caroline enjoys it:

And last but not least, with an orphan block from the baby quilt I thought a good idea to embellish this denim bag and transform it in a Christmas present for my friend Janet in England:

You can see that there's always time for everything, all those sewing projects are still unfinished but I hope to finish them along this month and I even want to sew another wallhanging as a Christmas present for my friend Luisa's son, but this is another story that I'll tell you whenever I have it cut and ready. A hug to all!

¡Bienvenidos de vuelta! / Welcome back!

Good morning everybody! How are you? What about your summer holidays? Have you travelled, enjoyed, walked, relaxed, visited, met, sewn, crafted, read that book you intended to for months but you didn’t have the time to, learned a new technique (cooking, sewing, windsurfing, mountain climbing, etc…)? I hope you’ve answered yes to any (or several) of the options and had been able to mix free time and relax with a pleasant activity.

Valladolid-Iglesia San Pablo/Saint Paul's church

Valladolid-Parque Campo Grande/Campo Grande's park

Valladolid-Palacio Real/Royal Palace

Avila-Vista de las murallas/City walls

Avila-Basilica de San Vicente/Saint Vincent's church

I’ve enjoyed 21 days of summer holidays (I still have 9 days more, great!) and have been able to do lots of things that I hadn’t had time to during the year. I’ve been able to take care of my parents (my sister and I divided the month in two turns), go to the beach, go out, do exercise (aquagym is my sport), study English (in my opinion it’s always necessary to do some review), travel (this year I did a short trip to Valladolid and Ávila, cities full of history that I recommend you to visit) and above all to have busy days but with no hurries which it’s always nice during holidays. As we say in Spanish “no hurry but no break”. During my train trip (my favourite mean of transport is the train) I met two veery nice girls and we talked for hours all the way to Valladolid which made that time really enjoyable and nice. Once there that anonymity feeling, freedom, and that sense that all time was mine and for me gave me an enormous feeling of lightness. I don’t know if you can understand me but if you’ve ever had that feeling you’ll sure understand me. I took lots of photographs (one of them was a “try” of a selfie, how difficult is to take a photograph of oneself jajaja). Here you have some of them (all taken with my mobile). I tried to take some of them in a kind of an “artistic” point of view in order to create my own free printables. As soon as I learn how to do it I’ll offer them to you with quotes that I hope you’ll like.

And well, here is 1st September and although everything is coming back to the usual routine it seems as the beginning of a new year. I hope you have a nice come back to your usual things and above all I wish you a slow, nice and positive come back. A hug to all!
