¡Bienvenidos Josep y Robert! / Welcome Josep and Robert!

Good morning! I hope you've had a nice weekend. Here in Valencia the weather started the week being cold (between 10-12ºC) and rainy and on saturday we had sunny and hot weather (at midday the temperature was about 27ºC!!), as you can see the difference was fifteen degrees in just five days, I hope the weather goes back to a normal spring temperatureee.

And changing the topic completely, last 16th March, a month earlier than they were due, my friend Mª José gave birth to two lovely and healthy baby boys (Josep and Robert). My friend and Irene's younger brothers are fine and at home keeping Mª José and her husband very busy with nappies and feeding bottles, the usual. You can see a photograph of their little legs below. On friday I'll show you the two quilt tops of the two quilts I'm sewing for them and a little picture I did for a small girl which I think it turned out quite well. A monday hug to all

Los "porsiacas" /The "justincase"

www.maletasviaje.com
Good morning! We're already in spring.....or not?. Valencia, last friday, first day of spring, was a cold and rainy day...we even had fog at the end of the evening! and the same weather this weekend, almost winter weather. Let's hope weather gets better and in the end the sun gets out. Weeeell but that is not the topic of today's post but the famous "justincase" (just in case it's cold, just in case it's hot, just in case I need it, just in case it's useful, etc etc etc.) when we pack our suitcase.

Last week I stayed in Alicante for some days and I was aware of how much winter "justincase" weigh (because logically winter clothes weigh more and consequently the justincase too). There has to be any video, any tutorial about how you can pack your suitcase to be lighter and to carry less amount of things. While I try to find it (I promise if I find it to show it here, for sure jajaja) the only advice I can give you is: try to pack clothes and shoes that you can use in different occasions, several accessories (scarves, necklaces, etc) which could be use with different looks and change them and above all, unless you travel with an assistant jajaja, lighten your suitcase as much as possible as long as you're the one to carry it by yourself. A monday hug to all!

Buenos días! Ayer terminaron las Fallas, nuestras fiestas locales. Imprimible gratuito: Bendición irlandesa y una bendición irlandesa bordada/ Free printable: Irish blessing and an embroidered Irish blessing

Good morning and good wednesday! That I like Ireland and any Irish thing is something that I have written about many times in the blog. Yesterday was Saint Patrick, patron saint of Ireland, so when I saw this free printable with the clover (one of their symbols) and specially dedicated to those of you who sew I couldn't resist myself. And also an embroidered Irish blessing. A hug and see you on friday!

Y aparecen las estrellas / And stars appear

Good morning! One of my wassap contacts had this image in her profile and I liked it. The translation is: "Stars appear when everything gets dark". It may sound a little sad but I liked it, it made me think. I'm sure all of you who read me will have spent one of those no sleep-nights due to worries or for a thousand things and you'll have realised that the darkest hour is the one just before dawn. It's happened to me, one of those nights and when you hear, just at the other side of your bedroom's window, that life starts again, once again it is as everything fits again, everything goes back to normal, everything starts again (each morning is a new start with the learned lesson from the day before, or that's what we should try) but even with our mind focused in that morning, in that new start that hour just before dawn is the one which puts you to the test, we only have to be stronger than those 60 minutes to say "here I am, ready to start again!". An enormous wednesday hug!!

Nosotras, las mujeres / We, women

Good morning and good monday! I hope you've had a nice weekend. In Spain temperatures have risen and we can almost smell spring round the corner. Yesterday was Women's Day and I remembered a scene that I saw some weeks ago and made me smile and at the same time be proud of being a woman (mainly because of the amount of things a woman has the capacity of doing at the same time). It was friday afternoon, nice temperature, a young woman was sat at a café beside a small child. She was trying to have a coffee while she was: talking on her mobile, giving baby food to the little child and holding her dog lead. I was watching her and I could but smile......all at the same time??? yes, she was doing all at the same time and she managed very well jajajajaja. We are women! we want to do several things at the same time because we don't have time to do one after another or because we are pressed to do so or because feel pressed to do several things at the same time. The problem is us or the others? there it's the question. See you on wednesday!

Good morning! Do you have a clear nail polish at home that you don't use and is about to end up in the bin? think twice! and perhaps, after reading the translation of the ten uses that you can still give to that clear nail polish, you decide it's not time to throw it away yet. A wednesday hug to all

http://yesterdayontuesday.com/2014/10/10-smart-uses-clear-nail-polish/
