Buenas tardes.....¡ya estaba echando de menos pasar algo de tiempo por aquí!/ Good afternoon.....I was already missing spending some time here!

Good afternoon, how strange is it to me to say you good afternoon!. I've always written the posts to be scheduled in the morning but this time the post is released almost live. I've just gone into the blog for the first time in a month and a half!, time flies and I haven't got enough hours in a day to do all the things I'd like to, I'd like to do a thousand things.....but this is my reality, I have no time for everything but I do have a moment to say hello to all of you.

Danke schon!.

Lately my life has been keeping on trying to find a job (very difficult due to the financial crisis), go back to study German (an interesting language that I studied for two years when I was 20 and to my surprise after 31 years I remembered lots of things!. In fact the first week of German classes.....I was getting boreeeeed jajaja) but in a month I have realised again why I stopped studying German back then, German grammar is veeeeery difficult!. I like it, I like it a lot but your head must be perfectly concentrated in what you are studying and in this moment mine is in 300 different places at the same time so that's impossible. I'll try to remember all the basic notions I have refreshed thanks to a wonderful teacher, thank you Nuria! and thanks to my classmates (in order where they were seated in class: Aure, María, Irene, Anabel, Merche, Encarna, Nasly and Leo, I think they are all and I've had forgotten to name anyone please excuuuuse me, I've spent very nice moments with you and many laughs too jejejejeje). Danke schon!.

My mother keeps on having a veeery delicate health condition, yesterday night she gave us another fright. Apart from her very serious heart condition she's having more frequent ictus. They have a person at home taking care of them 24 hours/day/7 days/week and my sister and I are with them almost any moment of our free time but even though many times I feel as if I were sailing in a boat in which base there were some many wholes that I couldn't block all of them, I guess that any time, in some situation of your life you would have felt like that. It's hard and difficult to live it day by day and keep on feeling exciting to keep on, to fight, to be able to enjoy the good moments in life (of course there are). A couple of days ago my mother asked me: did you kiss me when you arrived? Yes mum, I replied and she looked at me and as a little girl she asked me: will you give me more kisses when you have to leave? I didn't know whether to smile or kiss her a lot. There are all kind of moments and we all have to learn to enjoy the good ones to the full.

I'll try to go into the blog more often, whenever I'd a moment. I'm very grateful for the 70 visits I see I had two days ago, it always cheers me up knowing that in spite of the little I post there are people who are still going through the blog to have a look.

I'm very grateful if you have arrived to this point of the post (I'm sorry I know it's a veeeeery loooong post) and I'm sending you a hug and asking you a favour: enjoy life to the full! it has bad moments but it also has good ones, be positive. Go for life!

¡¿Ya estamos en Septiembre?!/ Are we already in September?!

Good morning! The month of August has been keeping me busy in lots of things, you too? how about your summer holidays? I hope that either if you have been travelling or stay at home you've had a nice time and with "batteries" ready and charged for the new season. Not only children restart at school!. I think we adults, in a way, also start a new stage.

When I writing this post I've noticed that the last one I wrote was from 13th August and even though last saturday 29th Aug. I'd had 202 visits!!. Bearing in mind this is a "quiet" blog in which, due to personal circumstances, I update very little I think it's almost a record jajaja. Many thanks for your visits.

Y fotografía, he redescubierto la fotografía.

My summer holidays have been a little different from other years. This year we have had to be on our toes all the time due to my mother's illness so with a lot of help and patience I still have been able to grab some moments for myself and have been able to make the most of them jejeje. Beach dinners; two visits to a spa with a friend (how relaxing!) it's an experience that if you haven't done it yet I recommend to you yes or yes, you chat, relax and have a lovely time; beach afternoons sunbathing with a friend, excursions, etc. And photography, I've rediscovered photography. I've always liked it but I'd never spent too much time in it, I prefer patchwork or other activities but having a mobile with camera in hand and a good photo editor is tempting so I've taken a lot. Sunsets, landscapes and most of them, clouds. It seems incredible there are so many shapes, sizes and colours (according to the change of sunlight), but there are. I'll make a selection of them (not too many I promise! jajaja) and put them here.

I haven't sewn much this last fortnight, only this little pouch, one of the first things I "officially" machine sew, it's just a matter of practice!!:

Nos vemos pronto, un abrazo a todos!/ See you
soon, a hug to all!

Lo que he estado haciendo últimamente / What I've been making lately

Good morning! Today I'd like to leave you some pics of little things I've been making and that I hope you like. The first pic is a picture for a baby that I've made recycling these little felt horses that I bought in Zara Home as Christmas ornaments and that with a little bit of ribbon and glued to a picture I'd already strip painted I think they look quite nice. The second pic is a house key ring I sewed for a friend (I still have to find the time to finish my own one!). The third pic is the back of the same key ring (sorry the pic is blurred). The fourth pic is a cloud softie I've made for a baby who will be born in my family next October. The fifth pic is the back of the same cloud softie, I liked the idea of making the most of some of my blue fabric scraps (the baby will be a boy). The fifth pic is of another cloud softie, this time bigger and for a friend of mine......that cloud has a soo sweet little face. The cloud was from a web that I have been searching again but that I haven't been able to find again, sorry!. And the last pic is of a picture I painted (let's say painted jajaja) for a friend of mine. Keep enjoying your summer holidays and see you soon!!. A summer hug to all

Disfrutando de las pequeñas cosas /Enjoying the little things

Good morning! It's almost a month since my last post, time flies. Luckily things are smoother in my life now so therefore I am able to spend some minutes writing this entry. As I told you in my last post, my mother has senile dementia so she only has some very little lucid moments a day, the rest of the time she's like a baby having to be taken care at all times. My father suffers her illness beside her. He's very old too (he'll be 85 next month) but he still is a self-sufficient person for everything. For all of us it's very sad to see my mother in her illness but it is every more painful for my father as they are together for 52 years. Well, there's no solution and we can only take care of her the best we can to make her life the most pleasant possible. End of the sad part of this post.

Due to my mother's illness and other negative circumstances of my present life I have learned to value and enjoy those little happy moments we all have. Enjoy a sunset, a blue sky, a starred sky, a supportive friend (thank you very much Ana!), to do a favourite activity alone or with other people, etc.. those million positive little things that are around us and that we often don't even realise and value them because we are running from one place to another or from one thing to another. I am learning to do it and it is so gratifying!. Life can be hard but it always has a nice side we value double in those moments . It's up to us to find that nice side, I encourage you to find it, it's there!!.

I've also have had time to take some photographs of a bookmark and a little basket from a plastic bottle that I've made, of this moon in the beach last week and of this quilt top seen in an outdoor activity of a quilting group, a lovely day:

Estad atentaaas, besos

Please don't lose contact because I'll be back with lots of tutorials that I've been compiling so you'll have lots of ideas to make this holidays. See you soon, probably next week. Stay tuneeeeed, kisses

Un saludo y la razón de este parón bloguero / A hello and the reason for this blog stop

Good morning, just a few lines to say hello and telling you, very briefly, the reason why I have stop blogging "sinedie". It's so difficult to put this into writing but there it goes, my mother is each day weaker, each day more ill (she has senile dementia and a very severe heart condition) and although each day is a day more we don't know how much more time she'll be with us. She breathes with difficulty, doesn't walk, hardly speaks. As you can imagine life, day by day, in this situation, besides of each one's problems makes it difficult to concentrate in many things despite there's no alternative as life goes on and can't stop. I only tell you this because I'm still in this blog "stop" which I don't know how much will last. My spirit depends on days, logically, but life goes on and I do my best to go on with it. A big hug to all

Good morning! how are you? how're things? I hope you all are fine. I only wanted to say a little hello and tell you that I'll still need to be out of the blog a little bit more, sometimes there are many things in life to be solved and the only way is one by one starting with the first one but please do not forget the blog because I'll be back (uuups it sounds like Terminator jajaja), soon. A thursday hug to all!

Hola, ¿cómo estáis? / Hello, how are you?

Good morning, good monday and good week start! I hope you'd had a nice month of May start, the weather is so good (in Valencia this last weekend we've had summer heat, too much!) and kind of feel like doing outdoor activities. I know I've been out of the blog for some time but in these moments I have to concentrate in other aspects of my life. I check my mail daily so if you want to leave any comment it'll reach me for sure. From time to time I'll be here to tell you what I've been doing and showing you photographs (like today ones) of the sewing things I am able to find the time to sew. I will be back to post as frequently as before but I can't tell you when, in the meantime I'm sending a big hug to all!

Weeeeell, and here I show you the little things I've been doing during March and April, let's start with a little teddy bear for a baby girl who is about to be born:

And this is an onesie and a pair or tiny socks rolled up in a way that they seem to be like a cupcake, useful and original at the same time:

La idea la saqué de aquí / The idea is from here: http://club.chicacircle.com/cupcake-onesies-gift-idea/

Después vinieron dos colchitas para dos bebés (dos niños, llamados Josep y Robert, de ahí sus iniciales en la parte de atrás de las colchas) cuyo patrón saqué de aquí: / Then two baby quilts for two baby boys (they are Josep and Robert, you can see their initials in the backing of each baby quilt), the pattern is from here: http://fatquartershop.blogspot.com.es/2015/02/layers-of-charm-free-quilt-pattern-with.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed:+JollyJabber+(Fat+Quarter+Shop's+Jolly+Jabber) aunque yo les añadí un detallito diferente en el centro/although I added a little different detail in the center

And I sewed this orphan block with a flower shape button to a bag which makes it more cheerful, I'l give it as a present soon

This jewellery box is from a friend of mine who showed it to me not knowing what to do with it so with some paper handkerchieves and some glue this is the before and after:

Y por último dos marcapáginas: / and finally two bookmarks:

Mis tutoriales: Un cuadro de mariposas /My tutorials: A butterfly picture

Good morning! Before starting some days of holidays from the blog (I'll see you next 15th April) I'd like to show you my tutorial: a butterfly picture. I did this picture from one I had with the background in white and an urban landscape in black, completely different of what you can see here!. These are the steps to get this result:

(Paint all your picture in the colour you prefer (I did it pink because it was for a little girl's bedroom). Allow it to dry completely. In my case I did it before going to Alicante during Fallas because as the weather was cold and humid I wanted to make the most of those days away to allow it to dry well before glueing the butterflies).

(Find a butterfly template you'd like and then cut two for each one. You'll also need a tiny clothes peg for each butterfly, that'll be the body).

(Put some glue on the center of one butterfly and leave it flat and the one on top glue it with its wings folded to the center. You'll see clearer more by the photograph than from my words. Arrange the butterflies in the way you please, and that's it!).

Last monday I told you I'll show you today the two baby quilt tops but I prefer to show them to you when they'll be ready to give it to the babies' mum. This Easter holidays will be the best moment to finish them so I'll show you photographs when I am back. Enjoy this spring Easter days as much as you can and see you next 15th April. A big hug to all

Inspiración: Un mueble original para el recibidor / Inspiration: An original piece of furniture for the hall

Good wednesday! It was quite a long time since the last I posted an Inspiration entry but when I saw this solution for a small hall I thought it was so unusual that I wanted to share it with you. The link is in Spanish so for the ones not speaking it you can have a look at the photographs for the steps and about the materials you need they are: pencil, paint and a shelf. I hope you like it. A wednesday huggg

¡Bienvenidos Josep y Robert! / Welcome Josep and Robert!

Good morning! I hope you've had a nice weekend. Here in Valencia the weather started the week being cold (between 10-12ºC) and rainy and on saturday we had sunny and hot weather (at midday the temperature was about 27ºC!!), as you can see the difference was fifteen degrees in just five days, I hope the weather goes back to a normal spring temperatureee.

And changing the topic completely, last 16th March, a month earlier than they were due, my friend Mª José gave birth to two lovely and healthy baby boys (Josep and Robert). My friend and Irene's younger brothers are fine and at home keeping Mª José and her husband very busy with nappies and feeding bottles, the usual. You can see a photograph of their little legs below. Los "porsiacas" /The "justincase"

Good morning! We're already in spring.....or not?. Valencia, last friday, first day of spring, was a cold and rainy day...we even had fog at the end of the evening! and the same weather this weekend, almost winter weather. Let's hope weather gets better and in the end the sun gets out. Weeeell but that is not the topic of today's post but the famous "justincase" (just in case it's cold, just in case it's hot, just in case I need it, just in case it's useful, etc etc etc.) when we pack our suitcase.

Last week I stayed in Alicante for some days and I was aware of how much winter "justincase" weigh (because logically winter clothes weigh more and consequently the justincase too). There has to be any video, any tutorial about how you can pack your suitcase to be lighter and to carry less amount of things. While I try to find it (I promise if I find it to show it here, for sure jajaja) the only advice I can give you is: try to pack clothes and shoes that you can use in different occasions, several accessories (scarves, necklaces, etc) which could be use with different looks and change them and above all, unless you travel with an assistant jajaja, lighten your suitcase as much as possible as long as you're the one to carry it by yourself. A monday hug to all!

Imprimible gratuito: Bendición irlandesa y una bendición irlandesa bordada/ Free printable: Irish blessing and an embroidered Irish blessing

Good morning and good wednesday! That I like Ireland and any Irish thing is something that I have written about many times in the blog. Yesterday was Saint Patrick, patron saint of Ireland, so when I saw this free printable with the clover (one of their symbols) and specially dedicated to those of you who sew I couldn't resist myself. And also an embroidered Irish blessing. A hug and see you on friday!
