Good morning and good week start! Today for a more cheerful monday I'm going to tell you another of my anecdotes, those ones that from time to time usually happen to me. I hope it makes you smile.

A late November rainy afternoon I was leaving my office when I met one of my bosses who offered to give me a lift home. He had his car some streets away so he asked me to wait for him by the office door in order me not to get wet. As soon as he left for his car I saw a girl of around 20 years old (I thought) with no umbrella and her feet inside plastic bags and saying "ay ay ay" each step. I saw her and thought that with those plastic bags and that wet pavement she might slip and hurt herself so when she was near from me we had this conversation:

Ella:/ She: Ayyyy mis botineeees / Ayyyy my ankle boots

Yo:/ I: Yo de tí me quitaría esas bolsas de plástico porque con la acera mojada te vas a resbalar seguro mujer / If I were you I'd take off those plastic bags because with this wet pavement you are going to slip and fell down love

Noooo, my ankle boots are new and are made of leather and they'll be ruined. This morning when I have put them on I couldn't imagine it'd rain and what am I going to do when I arrive home with them all wet?

(¡La pobre me miraba con una carita! / The poor girl looked at me with such a naive look!)

Yo:/ I: No problem. / No problem. When you arrive home put some newspaper pages inside the ankle boots and in a warm place and tomorrow you'll see they are as well as this morning.

Ella:/ She:  ¿Siiiii? ¿Y funcionaráaaa? / Really? and will it work?

Yo:/ I: Si mujer, ya lo verás / Yes, love, you'll see

She smiled at me, thanked me and kept on walking with her ankle boots inside the plastic bags. In that moment my boss arrived with his car. I went into the car and along the way to my home I told him the story and we both laughed. I was telling him: "I'm Victoria at any time adviser" jajaja. By night to a complete stranger but everything for a pair of new leather ankle boots. Another of my anecdotes!
