Buenos días! ¿qué tal habéis pasado las vacaciones de Semana Santa? espero que muy bien y descansados. Sólo os escribo unas líneas para deciros que, por diferentes motivos, voy a alargar un poco más mi ausencia del blog. En breve os enseñaré los dos quilts de bebé que he acabado, listos para regalar a  su mamá y un par de cosas más hechas durante estos días de vacaciones. Hasta muy pronto!

Good morning! how have your Easter holidays been? I hope you've enjoyed them and feel relaxed. I only write a few lines to you to tell you that, due to different reasons, my blog holidays will be a little longer. Mis tutoriales: Un cuadro de mariposas /My tutorials: A butterfly picture

Buenos días! Antes de empezar unas pequeñas vacaciones del blog (nos volveremos a ver el próximo 15 de Abril) quería enseñaros este tutorial mío: un cuadro de mariposas. Este cuadro lo hice partiendo de uno que ya tenía con el fondo blanco y un paisaje urbano en negro, ¡completamente diferente de lo que podéis ver!. Este es el paso a paso que hice para este resultado:

Good morning! Before starting some days of holidays from the blog (I'll see you next 15th April) I'd like to show you my tutorial: a butterfly picture. I did this picture from one I had with the background in white and an urban landscape in black, completely different of what you can see here!. These are the steps to get this result:

1.- Pinta el cuadro del color que prefieras (yo lo pinté rosa porque era para el dormitorio de una niña pequeña). Déjalo secar completamente. En mi caso lo hice antes de irme a Alicante durante las Fallas porque el tiempo era frío y húmedo y quería aprovechar esos días fuera para dejar que se secara bien antes de pegar las mariposas. (Paint all your picture in the colour you prefer (I did it pink because it was for a little girl's bedroom). Allow it to dry completely. In my case I did it before going to Alicante during Fallas because as the weather was cold and humid I wanted to make the most of those days away to allow it to dry well before glueing the butterflies).

2.- Encuentra un patrón de mariposa que te guste y recorta dos para cada una. También necesitas una pinza muy pequeñita para cada mariposa, ese será el cuerpo. (Find a butterfly template you'd like and then cut two for each one. You'll also need a tiny clothes peg for each butterfly, that'll be the body).

3.- Pega una mariposa por el centro a cada pincita y déjala plana mientras que la que pegues encima dóblale las alas hacia el centro. Lo verás más claro en la foto que por mis palabras. Dispón las mariposas de la forma que más te guste, y ¡ya está!. (Put some glue on the center of one butterfly and leave it flat and the one on top glue it with its wings folded to the center. You'll see clearer more by the photograph than from my words. Arrange the butterflies in the way you please, and that's it!).

El lunes pasado os comenté que hoy os enseñaría los dos tops de los quilts de bebé pero prefiero enseñároslos cuando estén listos para dárselos a la mamá de los bebés. Estas vacaciones de Pascua serán el mejor momento para terminarlos así que os los enseñaré a la vuelta. Disfrutad de estos días primaverales de Pascua y nos vemos el próximo 15 de Abril. Last monday I told you I'll show you today the two baby quilt tops but I prefer to show them to you when they'll be ready to give it to the babies' mum. Good wednesday! It was quite a long time since the last I posted an Inspiration entry but when I saw this solution for a small hall I thought it was so unusual that I wanted to share it with you. ¡Bienvenidos Josep y Robert! / Welcome Josep and Robert!

Buenos días! espero que hayáis pasado un buen fin de semana. Aquí en Valencia el tiempo pasó de ser frío (teníamos unos 10-12ºC) y lluvioso el lunes a soleado y muyyyy caluroso el sábado (al mediodía estábamos a 27ºC!!), como podéis ver quince grados de diferencia en sólo cinco días, espero que el tiempo se estabilice y pasemos a tener una temperatura normal para ser primaveraaa. 

Good morning! I hope you've had a nice weekend. Here in Valencia the weather started the week being cold (between 10-12ºC) and rainy and on saturday we had sunny and hot weather (at midday the temperature was about 27ºC!!), as you can see the difference was fifteen degrees in just five days, I hope the weather goes back to a normal spring temperatureee.  

Y cambiando totalmente de tema, el pasado 16 de Marzo, un mes antes de lo previsto, mi amiga Mª José dió a luz a dos niños (Josep y Robert) que nacieron sanos y muy guapos. Tanto su mamá como los dos hermanos pequeños de Irene están en casa y por ahora mantienen a Mª José y a su marido muy ocupados con pañales y biberones, lo normal. Aquí bajo podéis ver una foto de sus piernecitas. El viernes os enseñaré los tops de las dos colchitas que estoy haciendo para estos dos bebitos y un cuadrito que hice para una niña y que creo quedó muy bien. Un abrazo de lunes para todos

And changing the topic completely, last 16th March, a month earlier than they were due, my friend Mª José gave birth to two lovely and healthy baby boys (Josep and Robert). My friend and Irene's younger brothers are fine and at home keeping Mª José and her husband very busy with nappies and feeding bottles, the usual. You can see a photograph of their little legs below. On friday I'll show you the two quilt tops of the two quilts I'm sewing for them and a little picture I did for a small girl which I think it turned out quite well. A monday hug to all

Consejos útiles de decoración / Useful tips for home decor

Buenos días! y hoy son realmente buenos...por fiiiin. En Valencia hemos tenido dos semanas lloviendo sin parar y hoy por fin ¡el sol!. En los telediarios decían que estaba siendo el mes de Marzo más lluvioso desde 1.912 así que os podéis imaginar, esperemos que el tiempo mejore. Los "porsiacas" /The "justincase"

Buenos días! Ya estamos en primavera......¿o no?. Valencia, viernes pasado, primer día de primavera, fue un día lluvioso y frío...¡incluso tuvimos niebla a última hora de la tarde! y este fin de semana igual, tiempo de invierno prácticamente. Esperemos que el tiempo mejore y el sol salgaaa. Bueeno pero no es ése el tema de mi post de hoy sino los famosos "porsiacas" (por si acaso hace frío, por si acaso hace calor, por si acaso lo necesito, por si acaso me es útil, etc etc etc.) cuando hacemos la maleta.

Good morning! We're already in spring.....or not?. Valencia, last friday, first day of spring, was a cold and rainy day...we even had fog at the end of the evening! and the same weather this weekend, almost winter weather. Let's hope weather gets better and in the end the sun gets out. Weeeell but that is not the topic of today's post but the famous "justincase" (just in case it's cold, just in case it's hot, just in case I need it, just in case it's useful, etc etc etc.) when we pack our suitcase. 

La semana pasada estuve unos días en Alicante y fui consciente de cuánto pesan los porsiacas invernales (porque la ropa de invierno lógicamente pesa más y los porsiacas consiguientes también). Seguro que debe haber algún video, algún tutorial de cómo hacer la maleta para que puedas llevarte de todo economizando sitio, haciendo que la maleta pese poco y llevándote la menor cantidad de cosas. Mientras lo encuentro (os prometo que si lo encuentro lo pongo aquí seguro jajaja) el único consejo que se me ocurre daros es: intentad llevaros ropa y zapatos que podáis utilizar en diferentes ocasiones, accesorios varios (pañuelos, collares, etc) que os sirvan para realzar un conjunto y cambiarlo y sobre todo, a no ser que viajéis acompañadas de algún asistente jajaja, aligerar la maleta lo más posible ya que sois vosotras mismas las que la tenéis que llevar. Last week I stayed in Alicante for some days and I was aware of how much winter "justincase" weigh (because logically winter clothes weigh more and consequently the justincase too). There has to be any video, any tutorial about how you can pack your suitcase to be lighter and to carry less amount of things. While I try to find it (I promise if I find it to show it here, for sure jajaja) the only advice I can give you is: try to pack clothes and shoes that you can use in different occasions, several accessories (scarves, necklaces, etc) which could be use with different looks and change them and above all, unless you travel with an assistant jajaja, lighten your suitcase as much as possible as long as you're the one to carry it by yourself.
