Lo que he estado haciendo últimamente / What I've been making lately

Buenos días! Hoy quería dejaros unas fotos de cositas que he estado haciendo y que espero os gusten. La primera foto es de un cuadro para un bebé y que he hecho reciclando estos caballitos de fieltro que compré en Zara Home como adornos navideños y que con unos lacitos y pegados en este cuadro que también he pintado a rayas creo que han quedado muy resultones. La segunda foto es de un llavero casita que hice para una amiga (a ver si encuentro el tiempo para acabar el míooo). La tercera foto es el mismo llavero casita pero por detrás (siento que esté movida). La cuarta foto es de una nube blandita que he hecho para un bebé que nacerá en mi familia en el mes de Octubre. La quinta foto es la misma nube pero por detrás, me gustó la idea de aprovechar los retales de tela azul que tenía (el bebé que viene es un niño). La sexta foto es de otra nube blandita, esta vez más grande y para una amiga.....es que esa nube tiene una carita tan dulceeee. La nube la saqué de una web que he buscado pero que no he vuelto a encontrar, lo siento!. Y la última foto es de un cuadro que pinté (digamos pinté jajaja) para una amiga. El texto significa "Sé luz". Seguid disfrutando de las vacaciones y nos vemos pronto!!. Un abrazo veraniego para tod@s

Good morning! Today I'd like to leave you some pics of little things I've been making and that I hope you like. The first pic is a picture for a baby that I've made recycling these little felt horses that I bought in Zara Home as Christmas ornaments and that with a little bit of ribbon and glued to a picture I'd already strip painted I think they look quite nice. The second pic is a house key ring I sewed for a friend (I still have to find the time to finish my own one!). The third pic is the back of the same key ring (sorry the pic is blurred). The fourth pic is a cloud softie I've made for a baby who will be born in my family next October. The fifth pic is the back of the same cloud softie, I liked the idea of making the most of some of my blue fabric scraps (the baby will be a boy). The fifth pic is of another cloud softie, this time bigger and for a friend of mine......that cloud has a soo sweet little face. The cloud was from a web that I have been searching again but that I haven't been able to find again, sorry!. And the last pic is of a picture I painted (let's say painted jajaja) for a friend of mine. Keep enjoying your summer holidays and see you soon!!. A summer hug to all

Hola, ¿cómo estáis? / Hello, how are you?

Buenos días, buen lunes y buen inicio de semana!. Espero que hayáis empezado muy bien el mes de Mayo, ha mejorado el tiempo (este fin de semana pasado en Valencia ha hecho calor de verano, demasiado!) y apetece hacer más cosas al aire libre. Sé que he estado un tiempo ausente del blog pero en estos momentos debo concentrarme en otros aspectos de mi vida. Miro mis correos a diario así que si queréis dejar algún comentario me llegará seguro. De tanto en tanto entraré al blog para contaros qué he estado haciendo y enseñándoos fotos (como las de hoy) de las labores que me da tiempo a hacer. Volveré a postear con la frecuencia de antes pero no os puedo precisar cuándo, mientras tanto os mando un fuerte abrazo a todos!

Good morning, good monday and good week start! I hope you'd had a nice month of May start, the weather is so good (in Valencia this last weekend we've had summer heat, too much!) and kind of feel like doing outdoor activities. I know I've been out of the blog for some time but in these moments I have to concentrate in other aspects of my life. I check my mail daily so if you want to leave any comment it'll reach me for sure. From time to time I'll be here to tell you what I've been doing and showing you photographs (like today ones) of the sewing things I am able to find the time to sew. I will be back to post as frequently as before but I can't tell you when, in the meantime I'm sending a big hug to all!

Bueeeno, y aquí paso a enseñaros las cositas que he estado haciendo durante Marzo y Abril, empezamos con un osito para una niña que está a punto de nacer:

Este joyero es de una amiga mía que me lo enseñó no sabiendo qué hacer con él así que con algunas servilletas de papel y cola blanca este es el antes y el después / This jewellery box is from a friend of mine who showed it to me not knowing what to do with it so with some paper handkerchieves and some glue this is the before and after:

Mis tutoriales: Un cuadro de mariposas /My tutorials: A butterfly picture

Buenos días! Antes de empezar unas pequeñas vacaciones del blog (nos volveremos a ver el próximo 15 de Abril) quería enseñaros este tutorial mío: un cuadro de mariposas. Este cuadro lo hice partiendo de uno que ya tenía con el fondo blanco y un paisaje urbano en negro, ¡completamente diferente de lo que podéis ver!. Este es el paso a paso que hice para este resultado:

Good morning! Before starting some days of holidays from the blog (I'll see you next 15th April) I'd like to show you my tutorial: a butterfly picture. I did this picture from one I had with the background in white and an urban landscape in black, completely different of what you can see here!. These are the steps to get this result:

1.- Pinta el cuadro del color que prefieras (yo lo pinté rosa porque era para el dormitorio de una niña pequeña). Déjalo secar completamente. En mi caso lo hice antes de irme a Alicante durante las Fallas porque el tiempo era frío y húmedo y quería aprovechar esos días fuera para dejar que se secara bien antes de pegar las mariposas. (Paint all your picture in the colour you prefer (I did it pink because it was for a little girl's bedroom). Allow it to dry completely. In my case I did it before going to Alicante during Fallas because as the weather was cold and humid I wanted to make the most of those days away to allow it to dry well before glueing the butterflies).

2.- Encuentra un patrón de mariposa que te guste y recorta dos para cada una. También necesitas una pinza muy pequeñita para cada mariposa, ese será el cuerpo. (Find a butterfly template you'd like and then cut two for each one. You'll also need a tiny clothes peg for each butterfly, that'll be the body).

3.- Pega una mariposa por el centro a cada pincita y déjala plana mientras que la que pegues encima dóblale las alas hacia el centro. Lo verás más claro en la foto que por mis palabras. Dispón las mariposas de la forma que más te guste, y ¡ya está!. (Put some glue on the center of one butterfly and leave it flat and the one on top glue it with its wings folded to the center. You'll see clearer more by the photograph than from my words. Arrange the butterflies in the way you please, and that's it!).

El lunes pasado os comenté que hoy os enseñaría los dos tops de los quilts de bebé pero prefiero enseñároslos cuando estén listos para dárselos a la mamá de los bebés. Estas vacaciones de Pascua serán el mejor momento para terminarlos así que os los enseñaré a la vuelta. Disfrutad de estos días primaverales de Pascua y nos vemos el próximo 15 de Abril. Last monday I told you I'll show you today the two baby quilt tops but I prefer to show them to you when they'll be ready to give it to the babies' mum. Mis tutoriales: una bolsa redecorada, un cuadro de mariposas y dos pechitos de bebé / My tutorials: a redecorated bag, a butterfly picture and two baby bibs

Buenos días y buen viernes a todos! Espero que tengáis muchos planes agradables para el fin de semana pero antes de empezar ese finde quisiera enseñaros tres pequeños tutoriales que hice hará ya unas semanas: el primero es una bolsa de un material parecido a tela vaquera y que alguien me regaló hace años y que guardaba pacientemente en un cajón. Del quilt de bebé que ya os enseñé me quedó un trozo y me cuadraba perfectamente con el rótulo de la bolsa que quería tapar así que dicho y hecho.

Good morning and good friday everybody! I hope you have nice weekend plans ahead but before starting that weekend I'd like to show you three little tutorials of things I made some weeks ago: the first one is a bag made from a material similar to jeans and that somebody gave me years ago and which I kept patiently inside a drawer. I had an orphan block from the baby quilt I showed you and it fitted perfectly with the drawing in the front so there it went.

También os enseñé un cuadro que había redecorado en casa y aquí tenéis otro que hice antes de ese. Lo siento no hay una foto del antes pero este es el después para el que sólo hace falta un poco de pintura, un papel estampado, unas pinzitas pequeñas y un poco de pegamento.

I also showed you a picture that I had already redecorated at my home and here you have another one I made even before. Sorry there's no before photograph but this is the after for which you only need some paint, a printed paper, little pegs and some glue.

Y por último dos pechitos de bebé. El patrón de la flor lo saqué de un libro y sobre él hice variaciones y el de la casita es de internet donde tenéis muchísimos. La idea de adornos y demás es totalmente mía. Espero que os gusten las cosas que he estado haciendo últimamente. Un abrazo de finde para todos 

And finally two baby bibs. The pattern of the flower is from a book but over it I did some variations and the little house one is from internet where you have lots of them. The idea of the embellishments and the rest of things is totally mine. I hope you like the things I've been making lately. A weekend hug to all

Mis tutoriales: Un quilt de bebé, un osito y una marina / My tutorials: A baby quilt, a teddy bear and a seascape picture

Buenos días y buen viernes! espero que podáis disfrutar de un buen fin de semana. En Valencia ya ha empezado oficialmente el otoño, durante esta semana un día era verano y al siguiente pleno otoño y fuerte bajada de temperaturas pero estamos en Noviembre así que no nos podemos quejar. Hoy os quiero enseñar un quilt de bebé, un osito hecho con la trasera del quilt y un cuadro hechos por mí. 

Good morning and good friday! I hope you'll enjoy a very nice weekend. Auitumn has officially started in Valencia, during this week one day it was summer and the following full autumnn and low temperatures but we're in November so we can't complain. Today I'd like to show you a baby quilt, a teddy bear made with the back of the baby quilt and a picture all made by me.

El quilt de bebé está hecho con la técnica "disappearing nine patch" (aquí podéis ver un video tutorial y comprobar lo fácil que es):

The baby quilt is made following the "disappearing nine patch" technique (here you can watch a video tutorial and check how easy it is):

Antes de poner la trasera al quilt bordé el nombre de la bebita a punto de cadeneta y simplemente volví parte de la trasera hacia delante a modo de remate. Siento que la calidad de la foto no sea buena y que aparezca un poco arrugado, prometo que lo había planchado antes de meterlo en una bolsa listo para dárselo a la futura mamá jajaja. 

Before sewing the backing of the baby quilt I chainstitched the name of the baby and simply sewed part of the backing to the front as a kind of binding. Sorry about the poor quality of the photograph and although it is a little wrinkled I promised I had ironed it before putting it in a plastic bag ready to be given to the future mum jajaja.

Y aquí podéis ver el osito con su florecita y todo a juego con uno de los colores del quilt. Siento decir que no recuerdo de dónde saqué el patrón pero en internet podéis encontrar miles.

And here you can see the teddy bear with the little flower in one of the quilt colours. I'm sorry to say that I can't remember where did I get the pattern from but in the internet you'll be able to find thousands of them.

Y por último un cuadro del que estoy orgullosa porque es la primera vez en mi vida que pinto. La pintura es una actividad creativa que me interesa pero que reconozco que no tengo habilidad para ello y que además me gusta más la tela y el hilo. Aunque no tengo foto del "antes" sí os puedo decir que el cuadro estaba colgado en vertical y eran unas flores grandes y de color rojo oscuro y ahora está colgado horizontalmente y es un paisaje de mar (un poco abstracto y a mi gusto). La técnica que utilicé fué pintar todo el cuadro en blanco para darme una base neutra y luego ir improvisando con marrones, blancos y azules dándole luego unos toques de verde. Espero que os guste

And last a picture which I'm quite proud of because it's the first time in my life that I paint a little picture. I'm interested in painting as a creative activity but I have to admit that my skills for it are almost none and apart from that I prefer the fabric and the thread. Although I don't have a "before" photo I can tell you that the picture was hanging vertically and they were some dark red big flowers and now is hanged horizontally and it's a seascape (a little bit abstract and nice for my taste). The technique I used was painting the whole picture in white to give me a neutral base and then start improvising with brown, white and blue giving it some touches of green. I hope you like it

Buenos días! ¿qué tal se presenta vuestro fin de semana? ¿alguna fiesta de Halloween a la que asistir? ¿tenéis ya vuestro disfraz? espero que, hagáis lo que hagáis, disfrutéis mucho del fin de semana. Ultimamente he estado de lo más creativa, probablemente haber empezado una nueva etapa en mi vida y no tener tiempo casi ni para respirar hace que mi cabeza vaya más rápida y se me ocurran más cosas. Good morning! how many plans do you have for this weekend? any Halloween party to attend? do you already have your costume? I hope that, whatever you do, you enjoy the weekend a lot. I've been very creative lately, probably starting a new stage in my life and not having time for almost anything (always running doing things) makes my head going faster and having more ideas coming to my mind. Here you have three of my tutorials that I hope you like. Have you all a nice weekend

1.-

 Para pasar de este tarro de cristal que yo tenía en el cuarto de baño lleno de conchas de mar al que podéis ver justo debajo sólo hizo falta diez minutos, un poco de pintura azul mezclada con cola y un poco de paciencia. Se mezcla la pintura y la cola se pone con cuidado dentro del tarro y se extiende (no hace falta mucha cantidad sólo la paciencia de extenderla bien), se pone boca abajo y a esperar que se seque. A mí me encanta el resultado

From this crystal pot filled with sea shells I had in my bathroom to the one you can see below it was only needed ten minutes, a little bit of blue paint, some glue and a little patience. You mix paint and glue and then inside the phot where you spread it out carefully (not much amount is needed but some patience to spread it well), you put the pot upside down and wait until it's completely dry. I love the result

2.- 

Para pasar de un individual de Ikea a un bolsito que llevé a una boda hace dos semanas sólo me hizo falta una grapadora, un rotulador permanente, una cremallera y un viejo cinturón de cadena/ From an Ikea placemat to this clutch I brought to a wedding two weeks ago I only needed a stapler, a permanent marker, a zip and an old chain belt

3.- 

 Y para la tercera y última manualidad de hoy no hay "antes" (lo siento) pero la persona a la que se lo regalé le encantó así que eso es lo importante. Era un cuadrito que tenía guardado y que con un poco de pintura y papel se convirtió en este cuadrito mariposa

And for the third and last craft for today there's a no "before" (sorry) but the person who received it as a present loved it, so that's the important thing. It was a little picture I was keeping for some time and with a little paint and some paper turned into this butterfly little picture 

Mis tutoriales: Dos cuadritos para el baño / My tutorials: Two pictures for the bathroom

Buenos días! Hace pocas semanas iniciaba "Inspiración" como una nueva categoría en el blog y hoy inicio otra: "Mis tutoriales". Ya hace un tiempo que tenía estos dos cuadritos hechos con tiras de camiseta y un poco de pintura acrílica blanca por encima

Good morning! Just some weeks ago I started "Inspiration" as a new category in the blog and today I start a new one: "My tutorials".  I had these little pictures made with t-shirt strips and some white acrylic paint

 hasta que un buen día me dije "hoy toca cambiar" y en unos minutos pasaron de la imagen anterior a esta: / until one day I said to myself "today is the day to change them" and in some minutes these two little pictures were transformed into these: 

El paso a paso de este cambio es de lo más sencillo. Debajo de esas tiras de camiseta que podéis ver en la primera foto yo había pegado varias hojas de papel. En un principio quise quitarlas para conseguir una base limpia pero después pensé que le añadiría textura así que lo dejé.

The step by step of this change can't be easier. Behind those t-shirt strips you can see in the first photograph I had glued several sheets of paper. First I removed the t-shirt strips and part of the paper. At first I wanted to remove them to have a clean base but later I thought it might give it some texture so I left them as they were.

1. Mezclar un poco de pintura azul, blanca y negra hasta dar con el tono de azul que os guste. Mix some blue, white and black acrylic paint until you find the right tone of blue you like 

2. Aplicar la pintura con una esponja vieja para conseguir esos matices de color. Apply the paint with and old sponge to be able to get those color shades.

3. Al dejar el papel debajo le da un aspecto diferente al nuevo cuadro, casi como si fuera olas o la espuma del mar. Having left some paper behind gives it a different look, almost as they were waves or sea foam.

4. Pegar unas conchas de mar. Glue some seashells

5. Colgar y disfrutar el resultado. Hang them and enjoy them

Ya véis que no puede ser más fácil la transformación de cualquier cuadrito que tengáis en casa. Siento mucho la calidad de las fotos y espero que os gusten los cuadritos que hice yo para mi cuarto de baño en sólo unos minutos. Un abrazo

You can see the transformation of any picture you already have at home can't be easier. I'm sorry about the poor quality of the photographs and I hope you like the pictures I did for my bathroom in just some minutes. Hugs
