Buenos días y bienvenid@s seáis a este club al que todos hemos pertenecido alguna vez o quién sabe si estamos perteneciendo en este preciso instante. Este es un club al que te unes, normalmente sin previo aviso e involuntariamente, cuando quedas con un/una amig@ (se da más entre mujeres) y delante de un cafelito tu amigo/a te explica, por ej. (caso ficticio pero común) que hace una semana quedó con un ejemplar del sexo opuesto y que después de haber una química enorme entre ambos (dejemos aparte la física que eso sólo a ellos compete jajaja) y tras la primera cita el Adonis de turno ha desaparecido sin dejar rastro. Ella se ha tirado de los pelos unas 200.000 veces, estrujado el cerebro otras tantas pensando qué narices ocurrió porque en el 1.500.000 de veces que ha hecho revisión mental de aquella cita nada presagiaba ese silencio absoluto. Y llegado un punto de la conversación te hace la temida pregunta: ¿tú que harías?. En ese momento tú, la parte preguntada, haces acopio instantáneo de toda tu experiencia (mejor o peor) en ese campo y te dices a ti misma: pero ¿y yo qué le digooo? ¡Si yo he hecho de esas o peoresss! jajaja.

Good morning and welcome to this club to which we all have been members some time or who knows if we are members of it right now. This is a club you become member, usually without notice and involuntary, when you meet a friend (it's more common among women) and in front of a coffee your friend explains you that (a fictitious case but very common) a week ago she met a man and after feeling an incredible chemistry between them (let apart the physical (play on words in Spanish) which is a matter only of their concern jajaja) in their first date Mr. Right has dissapeared with no trace. She has went round and round that date trying to think what went wrong to give an explanation to the silent telephone. And in a specific moment of the conversation between your friend and you she asks you the feared question: what would you do?. In that moment you, the asked part, try to make the most of your experience in life and about that particular topic and you say to yourself: but what am I going to tell her? I've done that kind of things or worse! jajaja.

 

Estoy segura de que tod@s en algún momento, single, de nuestra vida nos hemos dicho y hemos dicho a alguna amigo/a: yo no haría esto, yo no haría lo otro y luego llegado el momento. Ayyyyy llegado el momento…….llegado el momento lo hacemos, ¡vaya que si lo hacemos! Jajajajaja. Por esa razón ¿cómo nos vamos a constituir en pequeñ@s sabi@s y dar consejos que luego cuando nos toca el turno no seguimos en absoluto?. ¿Cuál es vuestra experiencia al respecto?. Un abrazooooo

I'm sure that we all have told ourselves in any moment in our single lives that we wouldn't do this or we wouldn't do that but when the moment arrives. Ayyy when the moment arrives…..we do it, of course we do it! jajajaj. Therefore how are we going to pretend being wiser than our friend and give advice if when it's our turn we wouldn't follow our own advices? Which is your experience about this matter?. Hugs!

Me gusta vivir en Valencia / I like living in Valencia

Me gusta vivir en Valencia. Dicho así lo primero que a alguien se le podría pasar por la cabeza sería: ¡pues vaya ocurrencia! ¡y a mí vivir en (la ciudad en la que cada un@ viva)! jajajaa, me explicoo: Yo nací, me he criado y he hecho mi vida en Valencia. Digo que me gusta mi ciudad porque para mí tiene el tamaño justo. Es una ciudad grande (somos unos 800.000 habitantes) sin ser una ciudad enorme como pueda ser Madrid o Barcelona y tenemos teatros, cines, parques, museos, jardines, etc. Además de ser una ciudad rica en historia con montones de lugares que ver o visitar que a menudo, aún siendo de aquí, yo descubro por primera vez. Para los que no seáis de aquí os dejo este link http://www.turisvalencia.es/ para que podáis echarle un vistazo y os decidáis a visitarla (quien aún no la conozca) o a revisitarla quien ya haya estado aquí. 

I love living in Valencia. The first thing someone could think after hearing that affirmation could be: what a bright idea! I love living in (the city in which any of you live)! Jajaja, I explain myself: I was born, raised and grown up in Valencia. I say that I like my city because for me it has the appropiate size. It is a big city (we are about 800.000 inhabitants) not being an enourmous city as Madrid or Barcelona could be and we have theatres, cinemas, parks, museums, gardens, etc. Besides being a city rich in history with many places to see or visit which I often discover for the first time despite coming from here. For the people who are not from Valencia here you have this link  http://www.turisvalencia.es/ to have a look and make the decision to visit it (for whoever doesn’t know it yet) and re-visit it whoever had already been here.

 

Hago en este momento una salvedad: por todas las afirmaciones anteriores puedo prometer y prometo jeje que la Sra. Barberá (nuestra alcaldesa) no me tiene apalabrado ni un sobresueldo ni tengo apartamento pagado en Santa Pola (Alicante) como en aquellos concursos del “1, 2, 3 responda otra vez” jajaja.

To clarify matters: for all the above affirmations I can promise and promise jeje that Mrs. Barberá (our Mayor) hasn’t promised me neither an extra pay nor any apartment in Santa Pola (Alicante) as in that tv quiz (“Un, dos, tres responda otra vez”) jajaja.

Bueno y para terminar (que hoy me he enrollado más de lo que me autolimito) me gusta vivir en Valencia porque es una ciudad bonita, luminosa, junto al mar y con un tamaño adecuado, en mi opinión, para tener una buena calidad de vida. ¡Os la recomiendo!. Un abrazooo

Well and to finish this post (today it’s longer than I limit myself) I like living in Valencia because it is a beautiful, bright, beside the sea and with a appropiate size city, in my opinion, to have a good quality of life. I recommend it to you!. Hugs!!

Tutorial: Cuadro hecho con camisetas/ T-shirt made picture

Buenos díaaas. Ya es viernes! Las semanas vuelan, os deseo que la vuestra haya volado liviana y feliz camino de este finde que empieza hoy y qué mejor que un tutorial facilito como los de hasta ahora, un cuadrito para el baño o para esa pared que no sabes qué poner o para la cocina o para …….seguro que le encontrarás sitio.

Good morniing. It's friday! Weeks fly, I wish you that yours has flown light and happy heading this weekend starting today and here you have an easy tutorial, as the ones I've already posted, a little picture for the bathroom or for that wall you have no idea of what to hang or for the kitchen or for….I know you'll find it the right place.

 

 

 

Materiales:/ Supplies: un trozo de DM o conglomerado (lo ancho y alto que desees tu cuadro), pegamento, un poco de pintura, un par de camisetas viejas (en este caso una blanca y una azul), pegamento, tijeras, un pincel y un poco de café (sí sí, poneros un café para hacer esta manualidad y otro al lado para utilizarlo).A piece of DM (as wide and as high you'd like your picture), glue, a little bit of paint, a couple of old t-shirts (in this case one white and one blue), scissors, a paintbrush and a little bit of coffee (yes yes make a coffee for you to make this craft and another one to place beside you to use it in it).

Realización:/ Steps:

1. Pinta la madera del color que quieras dar para el fondo de tu cuadro inclusive los bordes y la trasera, de esa manera quedará más aseado.Paint the DM in the colour you'd like for the background of your picture including the sides and the back part, that way the result will be better.
2. Dibuja o calca en el cuadro el diseño que desees hacer. Una cosa hay que tener en cuenta, el diseño no puede tener mucho detalle porque el material (las tiras de camiseta) no permite que quede muy definido.Trace or copy the design you'd like to do on the picture. Something to bear in mind, the design can't have lots of details because the material (the t-shirt strips) don't allow you to make a defined design.
3. Corta las camisetas a tiras de 1.5 cm de ancho aprox y estíiiiiralas al máximo. Te quedarán como un montón de spaghetti muyyyy largo. Cut the t-shirts in 1.5 cm width aprox and streeeeeetch to the maximum. They will turn out as a load of spaghetti, veeery long
4. Ya podemos ponernos a trabajar. Empieza a reseguir el diseño pegando las tiras de camiseta desde el centro hacia afuera. Con paciencia, poco a poco verás que va saliendo el cuadro. No importa que los bordes te queden tan irregulares como los míos, de eso se trata de que quede un cuadro rústico. Now we can start with the craft. Start glueing the t-shirt strips on the design from the centre outwards. Patiently, little by little you'll notice the picture is being made. It doesn't matter the edges are as irregular as mine, that's the point we are trying to make a rustic picture.
5. ¿Qué para qué queríamos el café? Ahora llega ese momento pero antes ¿has disfrutado de tu cafelito fresquito ahora que aprieta el calor? Pues el que tienes al lado es para que mojes en él el pincel y lo pases por todo el cuadro. Ojo, cuanto más concentrado esté el café y más pasadas le des más oscuro te quedará. Si te pasa como a mí que me quedó oscuro lo que hice fue con una pequeña esponja húmeda con un poco de pintura blanca lo vas frotando encima y algo aclara. La intensidad de tonos va a gusto, es cuestión de ir probando. What did we want the coffee for? Now is the moment but before it have you already enjoyed your cold coffee now summer is in? well now you have to use the coffee beside yours. You have to use it like paint. Be careful, the more coats you give the darker the result will be. If that's your case, like in mine, my picture was too dark after the "coffee paint" you can try rubbing some white paint on a wet sponge and it will lighten a little bit. It's a matter of trying until you get the shade you like.

¿Te embarcas en el vuelo 787? / Will you get on board flight no.787?

Buenas tardeees!. Ahora que cada día tenemos un día más cerca las vacaciones de verano la perspectiva de un vuelo a cualquier sitio es más que sugerente pero este que os propongo estoy más que segura que no os gustaría jajajaja. Dadme un segundo que os lo cuento:

Good afternoon! Now that each day we are a day nearer to summer holidays the idea of a flight to any place is more than suggestive but I’m absolutely sure that you wouldn’t like the one I am putting forward to you jajaja. I’ll explain you in a second:

 

Desde hace aproximadamente un año mis padres están pasando por un problema grave de salud tras otro (esto es cierto) y eso merma la positividad de cualquiera. Un día estábamos mi madre y yo en su casa y me decía quejándose: ¡ayyy quéeee ganas tengo ya de irme al 787! Ayyyy qué ganas tengooo. Llegados a este punto os estaréis preguntando, lógicamente, qué es eso del 787. Bueno pues ese número (inventado) es el número del panteón familiar. Mi madre lo que quería decir es: ayyyy qué ganas tenía de morirseee. Yo la miré muy seria, me puse de pie, ajusté un pañuelo ficticio a un lado de mi cuello, ladeé un gorrito ficticio al mismo lado y con voz de azafata (ya sabéis lo que quiero decir jajaja) dije: “Bienvenidos al vuelo 787 con destino al cementerio, por favor embarquen por la puerta 4. Ultimo aviso para los pasajeros con destino al cementerio por favor embarquen por la puerta 4”. De momento mi madre me miró no entendiendo nada para dos segundos después partirnos de risa las dos (y quien le cuento la anécdota ¿te acuerdas Estrella?). Me costó pero conseguí desdramatizar el momento y cambiarle el chip negativo a mi madre pero porque ese día me pilló inspirada ehhh? No os creáis jajajaja. ¿Tenéis anécdotas similares?. Un abrazoo

Since last year my parents are going through health problems, one after another (this is true) and that makes anyone to be in low spirits. One day I was with my mother and she started saying: ayyyy, I’d like to already go to 787! Ayyyy I want to gooo. Now you’ll be asking yourself, logically, what is the 787. Well that number (invented) is the number of my family pantheon. What my mother meant is: ayyyy I’d like to dieee. I looked at her very seriously, stood up, fitted a fictitious little scarf to one side of my neck, put a fictitious little cap on one the same side as the little scarf and with that flight attendant voice (you know what I mean jajaj) I said: “Welcome to 787 flight destination cemetery, please board through gate number 4. Last call passengers destination cemetery please boarding through gate number 4”. For a second my mother looked at me not understanding anything but to start laughing out loud two seconds later (and whoever I tell this anecdote, do you remember Estrella?). I tried hard but I took the drama out of the situation and change the negative “chip” to my mother but because that day I was in a good mood ehhh?? Don’t think that occurs at all times jajaja. 1. Seguimiento del blog: desde ya tenéis la posibilidad de seguir este blog (escribiendo vuestro correo electrónico en el recuadro “Sígueme por email”). Cada vez que postee recibiréis un correo con parte de ese post y un enlace que os llevará al blog para terminar de leer el post del día.

2. Google translator: hay personas extranjeras que siguen mi blog así que para facilitarles el poder entenderlo y participar con sus comentarios tienen desde ya un traductor Google. Así que animaros, me encantaría leer vuestros comentarios!. Karen de Quilts etc ya lo hace lo que aprecio mucho (¡gracias Karen!).

Tutorial: cuadro flores abstractas/ Abstract flowers picture

Buenos díaaas!, como dicen los americanos TGIF (que son las siglas de Thank God Is Friday, traducido: Gracias a Dios es viernes!!). Pues eso que ya es viernes y este finde volvemos a tener tiempo libre paaaara un tutorial por ejemplo. Hoy os quiero enseñar la forma de hacer un cuadro un poco abstracto al que yo le dí la forma de flores pero que cada cual haga de su capa un sayo, o sea, cada cual puede darle la forma que su mente creativa le inspire y siempre lo más importante......que disfrutéis haciéndolo. Voy ya a los materiales y a la forma de realización. Que paséis buen findeeee!

Good morniing!, as the Americans say TGIF (Thank God Is Friday). Today is friday and this weekend we will have some free time again for a tutorial for example. Today I want to show you how to make a little abstract picture to which I shaped like flowers but each of you is free to make any shape you want and as always the most important thing is….enjoying making it. Let's go right to the materials and the way of doing it. Have a nice weekend!!

 

 

 Materiales:/ Supplies:  un lienzo de los chinos (ya sabéis, bazar oriental jeje), un trozo de tela de saco (o lo que tengáis a mano, imaginación al poder), telas diferentes para hacer los círculos, un poco de pintura blanca, un pincel fino y cola blanca.A white canvas from the Dollar store for example, a piece of burlap (or what you have at home, power to the imagination), different fabrics to make the circles, a little bit of white paint, a fine paintbrush and some glue. 

Realización:/ Steps:  Pegad la tela de saco al lienzo y dejar secar bien, recortad el sobrante. Mientras recortad círculos concéntricos de diferentes tamaños de las telas elegidas, pegad las flores al lienzo y dejar secar. Con la pintura blanca y el pincel pintad los tallos y alrededor de los círculos para darles más realce yyyy ¡ya está! ya tenéis vuestro cuadro de flores abstractas listo para encontrar el huequito en la pared donde luzca mejorrr. Glue the burlap to the canvas and allow it to dry completely, cut the remaining. Meanwhile cut from the chosen fabrics concentric circles of different sizes, glue the flowers to the canvas and let it dry. With the white paint and the paintbrush paint the stems, leaves and around the circles to give them a little bit of highlight and that's it!! you have your abstract flowers picture ready to find the right place to hang on any of your home walls.

Bueeno, voy al tema que, en el caso de hoy, es doble:

 

1. Cómo poner comentarios en mi blog: Me han comentado varias personas que no se aclaran a poner comentarios, quizá por no estar familiarizad@s con el tema bloguero por lo que quería explicarlo y así que la elección sea dejar comentario o no pero no el no saber hacerlo. Es de lo más sencillo. Justo debajo del post tenéis una pestaña que pone "No hay comentarios" ó "x Comentarios". Sólo tenéis que pinchar ahí. Veréis que tenéis un cuadro abajo donde podéis escribir. Escribid lo que deseéis comentar y justo debajo de ese recuadro donde habéis escrito veréis "comentar como", si no tenéis cuenta gmail simplemente pulsáis Anónimo y con que os identifiquéis en el comentario es suficiente. Y yatá, ¡fácil fácil!. Este post lo dejaré hasta el viernes para que así os dé tiempo a verlo y podáis practicar dejando comentarios jejeje.

 

2. La "trastienda" de este blog: Yo que no había tenido ningún blog hasta ahora la "trastienda" del mismo me parece una cosa la mar de curiosa. Hay estadísticas, gráficas, diseños, tipos de letras, formatos de pantalla, de carga de fotos, etc etc etc pero lo más curioso es la pestaña de tráfico, o sea, de dónde vienen las personas que han visitado mi blog (en este caso) y para mi sorpresa y aún estando este blog en castellano estos son los países: España 83, Ucrania 16, Estados Unidos 11, Rusia 8, Chile 1, Colombia 1, Venezuela 1. No son tanteos de fútbol o baloncesto eehhh? jajajaj, son veces que mi blog ha sido visto desde esos países. Sinceramente me parece alucinante que una persona ucraniana o estadounidense o ¡rusa! haya visitado mi blog, después de todo la globalización tiene también su parte positiva. Un abrazo!!
